Kim Hyeonbin (김현빈) is currently an idol under CUBE Entertainment. He was a competitor on Produce X 101. However, he ranked #30 as of episode 11 and was eliminated.
Career & History
Around the time of the concept evaluation in Produce X 101, school bullying allegations were raised against Hyeonbin. Some netizens reported they also witnessed the bullying the original poster mentioned, while others stated the person was lying. The posts in question have since been deleted. However, this seemed to have hurt his ranking and popularity on the show, regardless of the legitimacy of the rumors. However, it has since been settled as a untrue rumor.
It was reported in January 2020, that Hyeonbin left Source Music without friction, and he stated that he was preparing for his debut but didn't have a set date.
On April 14, 2020, Hyeonbin opened an Instagram and YouTube channel said that he was preparing for college admission. It seemed at the time he wasn't training to be an idol for the time being, but on May 12th, 2020, all his YouTube videos and posts on Instagram were deleted and the accounts were deleted or converted to private accounts. It was assumed that he signed with a new company and was training again.
On June 4, 2020, it was revealed that he had officially appeared on WM Entertainment's social accounts, and that he joined WM Entertainment.
On November 16, 2021, Hyeonbin's posts were deleted on WM Ggumnamu, indicating that he has left the company.
On March 5, 2024, Hyeonbin was confirmed as a member of CUBE Entertainment's upcoming boy group "NOWADAYS", before officially being introduced on March 7. They made their debut on April 2, 2024, with the single album "Nowadays".
